The Daily Grind

This is my first attempt at the ever popular blogging. I have read many a blog and always marveled at how people could just put their words out there for all to read and had the courage to stand behind them. I too, hope to be able to do that.

I have a very good friend that I met through this exact means. Barbara Hoffman. A woman that lost her entire life (by this I mean that she was totally engulfed with her work and love) by means of the Marion County Justice System in Texas. They did not provide due process of law to her nor her partner (whom is deaf and throughout the kangaroo court did NOT provide him with a sign interpeter) . To read about her plight look for the blog Topcatsroar that is registered here at WordPress.

Now, I will sign off and get busy on the business of taking care of all the critters at Mystic Jungle.

Just a background on me and our organization. Mystic Jungle is a not for profit educational facility. We have the honor of having 5 leopards, 1 siberian tiger, 1 Western cougar/Florida panther cross and 1 florida panther as well as a vast menagerie of Koati Mundi’s, snakes, alligators, skunks, opposums, monkey’s, birds, horses, dogs, cats, goats, sheep you name it. I am a veterinary technician of over 35 years experience .

I have always been an avid animal lover and an animal WELFARE advocate (NOT ANIMAL RIGHTS as I find the AR agenda to be on the extreme side but I will blog on that later) as witnessed by my many years of involvement in the animal industry.
